THE TRENDS OF SPRING – SUMMER 2007 WERE ON DISPLAYS IN  36TH AYMOD

NOW IS THE PRODUCTION TIME………….

AYMOD,International Footwear Fashion Fair, which has been organised by RDF for the past 23 years , was held between 07 – 10 December 2006.

The fair was opened by the State Minister Kursad Tuzmen.

This edition, the halls were diveded according to the the activity fields of the participants which made it easier for the visitors to reach the companies they were looking for.

AYMOD is the 3rd largest fair being held in europe.  Companring with the 35th edition, this AYMOD showed 25% enlargement reaching 25.000sqms of a net area which is 57.000sqms in gross. AYMOD hosted 369 companies out of which 16 were from foreign countries.

AYMOD is a opening door to Western markets for Turkic countries as well as Middle Eastern countries. Both local professionals  as well as professionals from many different countries such as Greece, Syria, Iran, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Romania, Israel, Russia, Ukraine, Egypt, Tunisia, Italy , Germany, China, Taiwan, Japan, Hong Kong, USA have visited the fair. The total visitors in this 4 days event reached 45.477 from 45 different countries. There were also foreign journalist abserving the fair.

Orders received from wholesalers and Decision makers satisfied the exhibitors showing the  export efforts of the sector  started to be successful.

3rd Leathergoods Fair

LEATHERGOODS – ISTANBUL fair was also held in conjunction with the AYMOD fair building its own sectorial identitiy.

Footwear sector is one of the most important sectors in Turkey . The consumption avarages to 2,5 pairs per person totalling to approximatly 175 million pairs per year. 36th AYMOD , provided an important sum of input for the Turkish economy with many business contacts and decisions. The trend for spring and summer 2007 were formed and now it time to manufacture both for local market as well as foreign markets.

Next edition of AYMOD will take place between 10 – 13 May 2007
